The DC Bar announced that Bob Spagnoletti, a partner with Schertler & Onorato, LLP, has been elected President-Elect of the DC Bar, the nation's second largest mandatory bar association with more than 85,000 members. Bob captured 56% of the vote and will serve as President of the DC Bar beginning in June, 2008.
My name is Bob Spagnoletti and I am a candidate for President-Elect of the District of Columbia Bar. Thank you for taking a few minutes to visit this website and learn a little more about me and my vision for the Bar.
With over 85,000 members, the DC Bar is the second largest unified bar association in the nation. Its members can be found across the country, and more than 50,000 live, work and practice in the District of Columbia metropolitan area. The women and men who serve on the Bar's twenty-one sections and twenty-one standing committees help carry out the important mission of the DC Bar by working to improve the operation of the legal system in the District of Columbia for all of its citizens. This is in keeping with the DC Bar's mission to provide service to the profession, the courts, and the community.
During this campaign I will be talking about the special role the DC Bar plays in the larger District of Columbia community. As lawyers with the privilege of practicing law in the District, we each have a special obligation to ensure that the justice system is available to all and working fairly.
I invite you to read more about how the DC Bar is a great District citizen and how, as President-Elect, I would support the Bar in its excellent work.
